Important information when exporting to Saudi Arabia
- In order to ensure a delivery on time, please ensure that your parcel has the full, correct address, an email address in the correct format and a mobile or landline number for the intended recipient. This will help the delivery partner to ensure the parcel is delivered correct first time. This should be clearly marked on the parcel.
- Timescales shown above do not include delays caused by destination country customs processes. Please be aware that customs could add additional time to your parcel delivery.
- The definition of 'working days' and other important information can be found here
- To avoid delivery / customs issues, our carrier partners request that a full name is mandatory for globalexpress parcels (e.g. Mr John Smith)
- Consignments exceeding 2,600 USD require a legalised Certificate of Origin and invoice verified by an approved Chamber of Commerce
- globalexpress transit times are based upon collection times, sender and recipient locations.

- Medicines of any kind unless accompanied by a medical prescription issued by a competent official authority ;
- Products designed for extinguishing fires;
- Chemical liquids;
- Articles contrary to the principles of the islamic faith are prohibited.
- All goods of Israeli origin are prohibited - Importers may sometimes request a "black list" certificate to prove this point - available from Chambers of Commerce.

- Toys / statuettes of people or animals
- Artificial pearls
- Equipment for distilleries
- Articles representing the Saudi royal family
- Wheat
- Items with a short shelf life - perishables
- Alcohol
- Anything appearing to promote gambling or smoking.
- Permits and certificates are required for a large range of goods - exporters should contact UKTI and their local Chamber of Commerce for advice.
- Arab-British certificates of origin are needed for most types of goods.
- Country of origin should also be stamped on the outside of any roll of material.

- Foodstuffs of Belgian or Dutch origin
