Important information when exporting to Israel
General Advice
- In order to ensure a delivery on time, please ensure that your parcel has the full, correct address, an email address in the correct format and a mobile or landline number for the intended recipient. This will help the delivery partner to ensure the parcel is delivered correct first time. This should be clearly marked on the parcel.
- Timescales shown above do not include delays caused by destination country customs processes. Please be aware that customs could add additional time to your parcel delivery.
- The definition of 'working days' and other important information can be found here
- To avoid delivery / customs issues, our carrier partners request that a full name is mandatory for globalexpress parcels (e.g. Mr John Smith)
- Requirement for commercial invoice to be on headed paper
- New Regulations: If sending parcels to the USA via globalexpress and those items are imported from Israel
- In December 2020 the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a notice that imported goods from specific areas in the West Bank would have to be marked as either products of Israel or products of West Bank for country of origin purposes. This requirement is effective March 23, 2021.

- In addition, there are some preferential trade agreements between Israel and the EU, check these out and make sure origin is clearly marked on the commercial invoice.

- Import licences are required for some foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products.
- There are also certain labelling regulations.
- Cordless telephones, gambling equipment, non-kosher meat products and pornographic materials are prohibited.
- Clothing and textiles may be required to have care instructions printed in Hebrew.
- Whiskey needs to be accompanied by a customs certificate of age - minimum three years.
