Understanding globalexpress surcharging
For parcels to all destinations worldwide, the following may apply (all prices exclude VAT):

Additional Line Items (multiple commodities) | £2.00 per line if over 10 lines | Parcelforce Worldwide can handle the clearance of consignments containing multiple commodities. For clearance of consignments with more than 10 commodities, a fee will be charged per additional line item. |
Returned Shipments / Goods | £35.00 | Where Parcelforce Worldwide organise the return of undelivered goods. This will be applied only after authorisation by the customer. |
Storage Charge | £0.27 per kg per day after 2 days (minimum £14.00) | Storage may be needed if the customer requires they be informed that a consignment is on its way prior to local dispatch, or wishes to specify which customs procedures are to apply. |
Extended Area Delivery | £0.30 per kg (minimum £15.00) | There are fees for extended areas to some destinations. These vary from time to time. For details download our globalexpress out of area surcharges information (PDF). |
Address Correction | £6.00 per parcel | Where parcel needs to be redirected in country of delivery |

U.S. Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco Clearance | £60.00 | Shipments that contain commodities regulated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) require additional processing, including an Internal Revenue Service tax assessment and an audit to ensure the Consignment has all required ATFE licenses and permits. |
U.S.Fish and Wildlife Service Clearance | £85.00 | Special processing is required for commodities that fall under U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service jurisdiction, including products made from nondomesticated animals or from wildlife considered endangered species (including ivory, natural pearls, and shoes and handbags made from certain types of animal skins); and any plant or animal which requires a Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITIES) permit. |
U.S.Food and Drug Administration Clearance | £18.00 | FDA approval is required to import certain commercial goods into the U.S., such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, computer monitors, laser CD players, cosmetics, eyeglasses, and food and food products. |
Prior Notice for Food and Food Products | £9.00 | A fee applies if the customer wishes Parcelforce to provide Prior Notice to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for food and food products imported into or moving through the U.S. This advance notice is required by the Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002. |
