Important information when exporting to Jamaica
- In order to ensure a delivery on time, please ensure that your parcel has the full, correct address, an email address in the correct format and a mobile or landline number for the intended recipient. This will help the delivery partner to ensure the parcel is delivered correct first time. This should be clearly marked on the parcel.
- Jamaica Post will ONLY deliver documents and parcels as follows;
- Parcels / Packs: The standard delivery in Jamaica is to hand over all parcels / packs to the Post Office network for collection by the recipient.
- Documents: The standard delivery in Jamaica for documents / envelopes is to contact the recipient and attempt to deliver at the customer’s home.
- In addition, import licences are required for some chemicals, gaming machines, milk powder, motor vehicle parts, refined sugar, plants, pharmaceuticals and certain toys
- Timescales shown above do not include delays caused by destination country customs processes. Please be aware that customs could add additional time to your parcel delivery.

- Passports are only available to be delivered if there has been an involvement with an embassy at either end of the journey;

- Written authorisation is required for all non-document shipments with consignments
- exceeding 100 USD requiring a tax ID and
- those exceeding 1000 USD require written instructions or broker clearance
